The National Latino Peace Officers Association – Fort Worth Chapter in partnership with Cowtown Cinco de Mayo will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo celebration on Sunday, May 4, 2008.  The Fort Worth Chapter of the NLPOA was founded by members of the Fort Worth Police Department.  We are a non-profit organization that was established in July 2004.  Our mission entails a myriad of positive goals and objectives, which include some of the following:

  •   Promote fundraising in order to finance scholarships, youth, senior and community-based programs and activities.

  •   Network with other community organizations, businesses, non-profits, civic leaders, business leaders and individuals who share our vision, programs  and objectives.

  •   Bridge the gap between our police department and the various communities of our City by eliminating racial and cultural barriers in an effort to create a more improved partnership.

We ask for your support by joining us in this upcoming celebration.  A portion of the proceeds raised will be donated to our Association and will go directly to our scholarship program.  The Fort Worth Chapter of the NLPOA will award scholarships to qualified Hispanic graduating high school seniors who are enrolled or are planning to enroll in accredited colleges, universities or vocational schools in the United States.

On behalf of the Fort Worth Chapter of the NLPOA we would like to thank Cowtown Cinco de Mayo, the City of Fort Worth, and most importantly all the wonderful people in DFW metroplex because without you this celebration would not be possible.  We look forward to seeing you!
